Course Description
This course describes the knowledge, skills and attitudes required by workers in community services and health settings to work in a consumer directed and oriented way with consumers who are living with mental health issues.

Learning Outcomes
Students will gain their Mental Health First Aid Certificate (Youth) as part of this course which will involve two full days of classes. The third day will be spent on a case study pertaining to a specific mental health issue.
Overview of Assessment
Assessment for this course is based on completing the following:
- a case study completed in class
- theoretical and practical test completed in class.
