Course Description
In this course you will gain the skills and knowledge required to cooperate in mutual agreement on the activities, outcomes and processes of young people’s family members/nominated carers, for the purpose of achieving goals identified in consultation with the young person to address their concerns and/or risks.
This unit is taught and assessed in a cluster with:
CHCYTH005 - Develop and implement procedures to enable young people to address their needs
CHCYTH008 - Support young people to take collective action
CHCYTH009 - Support youth programs
CHCDEV002 - Analyse sociological factors on clients in community work and services
CHCYTH012 - Manage service response to young people in crisis
Students typically do 160 hours of work placement undertaking youth work practice support the learning and assessment of these units

4. Respond to families’/nominated carers concerns about young person |

You will be given two (2) attempts for each assessment to demonstrate the required skills. A third (3rd) attempt can only be offered after discussions between teacher and the Program Coordinator and is not automatic. Resubmissions beyond two (2) attempts are at the discretion of the teacher and/or coordinator.
