Course Description

In this course you will develop skills and knowledge required to enable young people to participate in the decision-making that affects their lives and applies to youth work where the primary concern is to support groups of young people in taking action to meet their needs or responding to community issues.

 

This unit is taught in a cluster with:

CHCYTH005 - Develop and implement procedures to enable young people to address their needs

CHCDEV002 - Analyse sociological factors on clients in community work and services

CHCYTH009 - Support youth programs

CHCYTH011 - Work effectively with young people and their families

CHCYTH012 - Manage service response to young people in crisis

 

120 hours of work placement undertaking youth work practice support the learning and assessment of these units
