  • gain a historical view of recording
  • apply sound to vision
  • assess sound sources for simultaneous balance
  • identify creative and artistic possibilities
  • synchronise sound sources
  • post produce sound
  • create final sound balance for various mediums
  • evaluate the final sound balance

Details of Learning Activities

This course is called Create a Sound Mix and is clustered with the unit LAW5744C Identify and Interpret Compliance Requirements.

The following course for LPTS is extremely intensive and it is encouraged that all students attend weekly. The bulk of the unit will hopefully give you an understanding of the importance of being self-motivated, an essential prerequisite for survival in the Live Production Industry. There will be multiple areas where students can work on the diverse projects that are required for final assessment. Please be prepared for this unit by having a notebook available at all times as there are many new concepts that you will be introduced too. Not only will the student be exposed to audio production via new mediums but also it is hoped that they will achieve a far broader understanding of the processes of audio that can be applied to using sound in the field of live production. Students will also be required to supply USB sticks for working with throughout the semester.
