Course Description
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to compile production schedules during the pre-production planning phase in the screen, media and entertainment industry sectors.
It applies to individuals who work collaboratively in a production team as senior production personnel. Depending on the size of the production, this person may also be responsible for developing the resource schedule on which the production schedule is based.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

Assessment is ongoing throughout the course and will include a range of practical and theory components. Full assessment briefs will be provided and can be found on Canvas.
This is a Vocational Education and Training qualification and is assessed for Competency. To be assessed as Competent means you have consistently demonstrated the required knowledge and skills at a standard required in the workplace. To be assessed as Competent in this course, you will need to complete each assessment task to a satisfactory standard. You will receive feedback from the teacher at the conclusion of each assessment task.

Assessment Tasks
Assessment Task 1 - Draft a Crew Schedule and Define Disruption Issues. Due week 3.
With peers, you will draft a crewing schedule and identify any potential disruption issues. Please note: as a group, you will be defining crewing the requirements for a production project and drafting the equipment list for each bump in and bump out task.
Assessment Task 2 - Create a Production Schedule. Due week 15.
Create and submit your own production schedule, based on an industry production. You will have access to at least one resource schedule and access to a production budget. You are also required to write a short reflection and overview of your production schedule, as well as articulate any stakeholders that you collaborate with.

The assessment matrix demonstrates alignment of assessment tasks with the relevant unit of competency. These matrices are available through Program Administration.
