Course Description
In this course you will cover the skills and knowledge required to undertake a straightforward project or a section of a larger project. It covers developing a project plan, administering and monitoring the project, finalising the project and reviewing the project to identify lessons learned for application to future projects.
This is the designated Work Integrated Learning (WIL) course for C5350 Diploma of Screen and Media and C5351 Diploma of Screen and Media (Interactive Media). In this course, feedback from industry and/or community is integral to your experience.

Learning Outcomes

Overview of Assessment
Assessment for this course is ongoing throughout the semester. Your knowledge of course content is assessed through participation in practical exercises, knowledge assessment tasks and may include practical team based projects.
Assessment Tasks
For each assessment task you will receive a detailed brief specifying requirements
To demonstrate competency in this course you will need to complete the following assessments to a satisfactory standard.
You will receive feedback on all assessments and where indicated, you will receive a grade. Graded assessment tasks are equally weighted and will determine your final result for this course.
Assessment Task (ungraded):
Assessment Task 1 - Draft script (ungraded). You will complete a draft script for a 5 to 7 minute drama set out in industry accepted format. Due Date: Rolling assessment, please see assessment schedule (on Canvas), weeks 2 to 9.
Assessment Tasks (graded):
Assessment Task 2 - This is producing preproduction documentation for an approved short film. Assessment for this project is divided into two (2) parts:
Part A: Complete required preproduction documentation. Due Date: Rolling assessment, please see assessment schedule (on Canvas), weeks 4 to 12.
Part B: Evaluation of your production process. Due Date: Rolling assessment, please see assessment schedule (on Canvas), weeks 6 to 16.
Assessment Task 3 - The 1st AD will prepare shooting schedule and call sheets for the student producer's short film. To be submitted with Assessment 2 part A. Due Date: Rolling assessment, please see assessment schedule (on Canvas), weeks 4 to 12.
Assessment tasks 1, 2 and 3 are to be finalised by no later than end of Semester 2 Week 16.
