Course Description

In this course you will cover the knowledge and skills required to research, evaluate and determine the appropriate colour management strategies required for a range of photographic printing projects.

You will also cover the skills and technical knowledge to plan, coordinate and manage the accuracy, consistency and integrity of colour in their printing workflows to an industry standard.

Overview of Assessment

Assessment tasks include practical exercises in applied colour management including:

  • Monitor calibration
  • Soft proof tests and test prints
  • Test prints demonstrating rendering intents, colour spaces & resolution
  • Proof sheet prints as hardcopy
  • Folio of inkjet prints.

Assessment for this course is ongoing throughout the semester.
