allocating roles, dividing up tasks, managing time and making sure each member of the group contributes equally.

You will conduct research on a number of aspects of diversity and will present your findings in a video.

Use the reference list below to find out information on the following topics. For topic 10 you will need to have a conversation with each other. There will be time spent in class learning how to search a website and other resources to get the information you need from them.

Write brief notes on each topic before designing the video presentation.

Remember that when you are writing definitions or explaining concepts you should do so in your own words. If you quote references or paraphrase then you must acknowledge the source.

  1. Describe the situation – who was involved, where & when did this take

      place, what    happened?

  1. Briefly describe the nature and characteristics of the diversity in this situation, eg religious, cultural, age etc.
  2. What personal beliefs, attitudes or biases did you have at the beginning of this particular situation/engagement?
  3. How did you feel during the engagement?

  2. Your own attitudes, beliefs or biases?
  1.      How would you do things differently next time?
