Course Description
This course will give you the skills and knowledge required to incorporate, and edit, digital video into interactive media presentations.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course you will have the ability to:
- produce, visualise and interpret creative concepts for digital video
- demonstrate application of the principles of video-editing and production techniques
- design, compile, edit and test the digital interactive media incorporating video.
Details of Learning Activities
This course consists of 2 Units of Competency that are clustered together for delivery and assessment. The other unit of competency in this clustered course is: ICTPMG501 Manage ICT projects

Overview of Assessment
Assessment for this course is ongoing throughout the semester. Your knowledge of course content is assessed through participation in class exercises, practical project work and through the application of learned skills.
Assessment Tasks
Students enrolled in Vocational Education and Training qualifications are assessed for Competency. To be assessed competent means you have consistently demonstrated the required knowledge and skills at a standard expected in the workplace. To be assessed as Competent in this course, you will need to complete each assessment task to a satisfactory standard. You will receive feedback from the teacher at the conclusion of each assessment task.
AT1 Teamwork for Media Production 1
Answer questions that relate to team management in preparation for the team project you will be undertaking in the Media Production 1 project.
The answers are required to be written; utilising your knowledge of spelling and grammar, and demonstrating your ability to present ideas, options and recommendations in writing.
Due week 6
AT2 Pre-production for Media Production 1
Develop the concept and undertake planning for a video project. Your assessor will provide a client brief requiring a series of videos. You will form a project team and each member of that team will be responsible for managing the production of one video.
Due week 10
AT3 WIP (work in progress review) for Media Production 1
Meet with your assessor to undertake a work in PR (progress review) meeting. Your assessor will ask you seven (7) questions which relate to the video editing you are undertaking in the Media Production 1 project. As part of the meeting you will be asked to show your video editing in progress to inform your answers to the questions.
Due week 13
AT4 Production for Media Production 1
Execute the project that you planned in Assessment tasks 2 & 3.
You will be assessed against your assigned video and how well you collaborated with your project team to achieve outcomes that meet the client brief.
