Course Description

The purpose of this course is to provide training to ensure that workplace processes comply with relevant aerospace industry legislation. This course provides an overview of the relevant legislation and documentation within the aerospace industry.
Participants may have supervisory responsibilities that vary from limited to significant.

  • Civil Aviation Safety Regulations (CASR)
  • Civil Aviation Safety Orders (CASO)
  • Civil Aviation Advisory Publications (CAAP)

Session 2: Identify legislation and its sources:

  • Airworthiness Advisor Circulars (AAC)
  • Airworthiness Directives (AD)

Session: 3 The scope of:

  • CASR
  • CASO
  • CAAP
  • AAC 
  • AD

Session 4: The requirements of relevant:

  • CASR
  • CASO 
  • CAAP
  • AAC
  • AD

Session 5: The impact of the legislation on organizations

Session 6: The responsibilities of the different users and issuers of policies

  • Development, review or upgrade procedures to ensure application of relevant legislation.
  • Monitoring industry processes to ensure compliance with legislative requirements
  • Examples of non-conformance with legislative requirements.

Session 7: The responsibilities of the different users and issuers of policies

  • Preparation of information regarding legislative requirements, to meet the needs of users.
  • Development and implementation of corrective actions to ensure conformity with legislation

Session 8: The development of relevant industry legislation

  • The procedures for identifying amendments or corrections.
  • Documentation in accordance with procedures. 
  •  Identification of changes to workplace practices associated with new industry legislation.
