Learning Outcomes

The unit covers being able to identify design details used in the production of garments for the purpose of achieving specific effects such as embellishing fabric to give a garment a more unique, individual appearance. It also covers the development of construction specifications and standard operating procedures to guide the production of garments which incorporate design detail.

Your assessment tasks are a combination of practical and theoretical. Assessment will occur throughout the course, enabling you to receive ongoing feedback about your progress. Written feedback will be provided for each piece of work.
