Course Description
This unit specifies the outcomes required to manage effective workplace relationships with particular regard to communication and representation. This involves analysing and communicating information, establishing systems to develop and maintain effective working relationships and networks, and implementing strategies to overcome difficulties.

Classroom tutorial activities:
Regardless of the mode of delivery, represent a guide to the relative teaching time and student effort required to successfully achieve a particular competency/module. affects business operation, especially in regard to OHS and environmental issues, equal opportunity, industrial relations and anti-discrimination
• the principles and techniques involved in the management and organisation of:

Industrial Placement:
Students in the final stage of Advanced Diploma in Electrical are encouraged to undertake an industrial practice workplacement activity, which requires student to undertake tasks within electrical, electronic or computers sisytems domain within industry.
Task may involve activities linked to auto cad, software packages, project management, electrical or electronics troubleshooting, maintenance, evaluation and alnalisys, instrumentation and process control programming and, assistance in tender submissions and evaluations etc.
Report/Assignment
At the end of Industrial practice or work simulated activites students are supposed to submit report addressing some of following performance criteria:
-Development of systems to ensure that collection of information is timely, adequate, relevant to the needs of teams, and is in a format suitable for analysis, interpretation and dissemination.
- Analysis of information to identify and report relevant trends and developments to support the strategic planning process.
- Development of strategies to ensure that management information systems are used effectively to store and retrieve data to aid the decision making process.
- Preparation of and presented business plans and/or budgets in accordance with the organisation’s guidelines and requirements.
- Development of resource proposals in consultation with relevant stakeholders using all available planning information.
Practical exercises:
Work simulated activities on teamwork and workplace information systems management through project management activities.

Overview of Assessment
Assessment may incorporate a variety of methods including written/oral activities and demonstration of practical skills to the relevant industry standards. Participants are advised that they are likely to be asked to personally demonstrate their assessment activities to their teacher/assessor. Feedback will be provided throughout the course.
Assessment Tasks
Project/report ( 2500 words) : 50%
At the end of Industrial practice or work simulated activities students are supposed to submit report addressing some of following performance criteria:

• functional literacy skills to access and use workplace information
• research, analysis, interpretation and reporting skills
-a range of communication and other skills that support effective workplace relationships:
- responding to unexpected demands from a range of people

- forging effective relationships with internal and/or external people and developing, maintaining and managing these networks
- gaining the trust and confidence of colleagues
- dealing with people openly and fairly
- using coaching and mentoring skills to provide support to colleagues
Class participation and performance: 20 %
When participating in class activities, students must demonstrate ability to:
o Organise and manage the tasks within the assignment requirements
o Perform tasks autonomously and/or as a member of a team as task proscribes
o Perform task and manage work environment/equipment according to safe working practice and OH&S requirements.
o Meet assessment criteria, conditions and technical requirement relevant to the competency standard detail above.
