Performance Criteria:

2.1 Interpret periodontal presentation to diagnose and
classify periodontal health
2.2 Use specialised knowledge to identify and record the
clinical presentations of the classified periodontal

anatomy to compare and contrast the periodontium of a
natural tooth with peri-implant tissues
5.2 Make informed decisions on the preventive treatment of
dental implants with a in-depth understanding of
osseointegration and biomechanical forces involved
5.3 Make clinical decisions and give special considerations
towards periodontal instrumentation and patient
management.

Assessments are spaced across the duration of the course, in order for your teacher to provide you with progressive feedback.
Feedback will be provided throughout the semester in class and/or online discussions, through individual and group feedback on practical exercises and by individual consultation.
