Course Description
This course describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to research and explore selected sculptural materials and processes and integrate their use into creative practice.

Teaching Schedule
Please note that group and individual tutorials will occur throughout the semester.
Students will be consistently assisted with fabrication of works and conceptual development .Research will be highly encouraged in order to develop a sound visual personal language.Where possible demonstrations will be offered.

Ready for Action Task 1- Briefing
Concept development briefs .Students are required to expand and elaborate concept development from their Semester one dialogue.
Written dialogue minimum of 300 words clearly stating intentions for creating new work in Semester 2.Students will be encouraged to continue writing and developing their personal dialogue throughout the semester in order to create continuity and research and assist staff with an ongoing dialogue.
Week 2- Tools/Materials/Tutorials
Class discussion/Individual feed back session based on Concept development briefs.
Introduction to the concept of developing an out door work. Class discussion & individual tutorials.Ongoing assistance with fabrication will guide the student throughout the semester.Images of other professional artist works will be shown on the smart board which will clearly outline fabrication and materiality in order to encourage students to develop a greater understanding of materiality
Week 3 Concepts briefs due for studio work and out door work.Class discussion.Feedback session.View studio set up.Conduct tutorials.Commence making maquette for out door work.Emphasis on studio practice and time management will be highly encouraged.
Week 4. Class discussion.Continue out door work.Concept development.Studio practice.Group discussion.Individual assistance with fabrication of works. Maquettes for sculptural works to be presented.
