Course Description
This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to
manage architectural administration and the development of
project documentation. It requires the knowledge of the
legislation pertaining to project administration and the ability
to comply with the organisational requirements for quality
assurance. Work is expected to be undertaken in
consultation with both internal personnel and external
consultants and with limited supervision.
No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification
requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
However this unit forms part of a minimum qualification
requirement for registration with the Building Practitioners
Board as a building designer (architectural).

Overview of Assessment
This unit of competency could be assessed in the
workplace or a close simulation of the workplace
environment, provided that simulated or project-based
assessment techniques replicate design drafting
workplace conditions, materials, activities, responsibilities
and procedures.
Holistic or project-based assessment with other related
units is recommended.
