Course Description
This unit covers the management of essential construction operations primarily those of estimating and scheduling. The range of constructions covered by this unit is broad and may include buildings and other structures in steel, concrete or timber.

Learning Outcomes
On a successful completion, you will posses a detailed understanding of the theoretical principles involved in the construction of foundations and structures together with knowledge of the acts and regulations governing building in the relevant State.
Overview of Assessment
You must demonstrate an understanding of all elements of the competencies in order to be deemed competent. Assessment methods have been designed to measure achievement of each competency in a flexible manner over a range of assessment tasks. You will be assessed by written reports, presentation and a classroom based test. Strategies used for assessment will reflect real world problems.
