Course Description

In this course you will acquire the skills and knowledge required to identify and work within the legal and ethical frameworks that apply to an individual job role.

This course applies to community services and health workers who play a proactive role in identifying and meeting their legal and ethical responsibilities.

Details of Learning Activities

Classes where information is shared through talks and group discussions, and exercises are conducted to apply learning. Time in class, will also be spent working on applied assessment tasks. Note: All learning activities are delivered via remote learning in Semester 2, 2020.

Assessment Tasks

Assessment task 1 - This task allows students to demonstrate their ability to participate in a workplace inspection, identify hazards, assess risk and make recommendations. Students are able to demonstrate their ability to complete workplace documentation accurately and in line with policies and procedures.

Assessment task 2 - This task allows the student to demonstrate how to respond to an emergency.
