Course Description
This unit of competency describes a detailed level of knowledge of anatomy and physiology required to confirm physical health status. Participants will develop an understanding of the structure and function of all major body systems, including associated pathologies.
Students will study the skills and knowledge required to confirm physical health status:
⁃ Through participation in the student Remedial Massage Clinic and simulated workplace environments
⁃ In classroom discussions
⁃ Via the internet
& through
⁃ ICT Access to RMIT Online Materials regularly posted by course staff.

Learning Outcomes
Overview of Assessment
Relevant concepts will be explored through prescribed e-learning activities, assessment work, & practical application of key skills and knowledge. The assessee must provide evidence of application of relevant essential knowledge as well as skills, and consistency of performance should be demonstrated over the required range of situations relevant to the Remedial Massage clinical environment. Achieving competency in each assessment is required to achieve competency for the unit.
