Course Description
This a foundation course in digital processing manipulation and output. Tutorials and class exercises focus on practical industry required skill sets including photo restoration, portrait retouching and file manipulation.

Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this unit, you will be able to competently navigate through Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Bridge and the Adobe RAW file converter. You will also be able to successful employ a range of professional digital retouching and photographic enhancement techniques.

Overview of Assessment
Assessment for this course is ongoing throughout the semester. Your knowledge of course content is assessed through a practical demonstration of skills using required equipment
and materials and selected techniques for image manipulation and output for a range of images. These images demonstrate the application of selected techniques and which are consistent with concept and purpose of the work.
Assessment Tasks
Assessment tasks in this course are either formative or summative. Formative tasks provide the basis for ongoing feedback and can be considered as essential building blocks for the more substantial summative assessment tasks. Summative assessment tasks in this unit are graded.
