Course Description
This course describes the skills and knowledge required for workers to comply with infection control policies and procedures. . All procedures have to be carried out in accordance with current infection control guidelines, Australian and New Zealand Standards for maintaining infection control and the policies and procedures of the organisation. This course acknowledges the importance of complying with an effective infection control strategy that ensures the safety of the client, maintain personal protection and prevent the transmission of infections from person to person.

The assessment will involve workbook activities and practical work to demonstrate the application of knowledge required for this course.
Assessment Tasks
The assessment tasks will include the completion of
- Successful completion of workbook for assessing the understanding of the underpinning knowledge
- Practical assessment for hand washing and other related procedures
- Online quiz for assessing the application of the underpinning knowledge. The students need to score 100% on the quiz to be deemed competent
The due dates for completion of all assessments is 26/08/15
Students need to be deemed competent in all outcomes to pass this course.
