Course Description
The purpose of this course is to provide participants with the skills, knowledge and attitudes required to apply sound business practice within the legal responsibilities of a self employed art practitioner.
Arts Business Practice is a compulsory course within the second year of the program. The course provides a vocational focus on the arts industry and how a self employed visual artist relates to this industry.

1. Set up, use and maintain an effective studio for art practice
2. Describe basic provisions of contract law and how artists are affected by contracts and contract law
3. Describe basic provisions of intellectual property and copyright
4. Describe the basic provisions for artists in our taxation system
