Course Description

In this course students use the techniques, concepts and skills acquired in previous photography courses to produce a body of work of personal photographs/images that apply the knowledge of photography as a fine art discipline.
This course focuses on digital practice, with camera use and lighting techniques incorporated into studio outcomes.

Learning Outcomes

1. Use and select appropriate materials and techniques in the production of a personal body of work.
2. Document contemporary issues and theory in photography.
3. Use photography effectively as a form of visual expression and articulation.
4. Research and record historical, contemporary and technological influences on photography.
5. Produce art works to create a personal body of work that incorporates personal philosophy and concerns.

Details of Learning Activities

Students will receive tuition in their individual studios and in the computer lab.

Lectures, demonstrations, group discussion, gallery excursions and individual tutorials will all feature as part of the course.

Students are expected to work on their practice in their studios and off campus.
