This course is designed to give you the skills and knowledge required to effectively analyse the workplace in relation to environmentally sustainable work practices and to implement improvements and monitor their effectiveness.

Students will undertake an audit of a Design and production projects and report on how improvements can be applied .

Overview of Assessment
Detailed course and assessment requirements and information will be made available to you first week of class. Specific details will be explained to you during scheduled classes.
This course comprises both practical and theory components. You will be expected to attend and participate in class activities.
As well as class activities you will be required to undertake research and assessment practice outside of regular class times and participate in formal assessment tasks.
PLEASE NOTE: work that has not been authenticated during class as your own work will not be considered for assessment.
Assessment Tasks
Sustainability audit plan – report 50%
Students will undertake a personal audit of the Collections project undertaken in Design and Production units.
An analysis of all materials and processes will be required and presented as a report
Group Presentation - Small groups 30%
Students will be required to present to the group on an aspect of sustainable practice from provided list. To be allocated in week 2
Participation in class discussion & engagement with subject area 20%
Research the Australian Retail and provide environment oral feedback. This is and in class discussion attendance is required for assessment purposes. Students must record personal finding in a journal to be submitted with final audit.
