Course Description
When you are working on live productions, it is extremely important that you are aware of any compliance requirements eg. noise restrictions, risk assessment, OHS requirements. In this course you will learn the skills and knowledge required to identify and interperet the range of internal and external compliance requiremens and obligations that must be fulfilled when working on live productions. This course is delvered with Manage audio operations for outdoor events CUASOU501 but assessed separately.

Out of-class self-directed learner activities for this course includes but is not limited to: private research at selected equipment websites and revision of notes to reinforce classroom content. These activities will be monitored during class through question/answer sessions.

Overview of Assessment
Assessment for this course will involve written exercises on the current State Environment Protection Policy (SEPP) and the completion of a Places of Public Entertainment (PoPE) application for a proposed live music event.
Assessment Tasks
This unit of competency is delivered with CUASOU501 Manage audio operations for outdoor events but assessed separately.
To demonstrate competency in this course you will need to complete the following assessment to a satisfactory standard.
You will receive feedback on all assessment and once you have demonstrated competency, you will receive a grade for those assessments that are also graded (refer to MyRMIT for grading rubric).

Assessment Tasks for BSBCOM501B Identify and interpret compliance requirements:
This unit of competency is assessed in accordance with competency-based assessment. To demonstrate competency in this course you will need to address the assessment criteria and complete the following assessment to a satisfactory standard. The assessment criteria are available on Blackboard and you will receive feedback from the teacher on all assessment tasks.
Assessment Task 1- Review of the current SEPP-N2 policy and application
