Course Description
To acquire the skills necessary to fly a twin engine aeroplane (excluding centre-line thrust aircraft), on instruments by day or night, navigating exclusively with the use of navigation aids.
Pre-requisite Courses and Assumed Knowledge and Capabilities
Completion of Modules 1.01 to 2.11 or 1.01 to 3.08, or a Private Pilot’s Licence (for students undertaking a Command Instrument Rating only).

1. Fly straight and level, climb, descend and turn on limited panel, and recover from unusual attitudes on full and limited panel in a twin engine aircraft. 2a. Perform emergency and abnormal procedures for engine failure in an IFR situation. 2b. Perform emergency and abnormal procedures for fires, smoke or fumes in an IFR situation. 2c. Perform emergency and abnormal procedures for system malfunctions in an IFR situation. 3. Plan and safely conduct a cross-country IFR flight with appropriate Departure and Approach (DAP) procedures, in a twin engine aircraft. 4. State the use of and requirements for the carriage of survival equipment. |

Overview of Assessment
Assessment may incorporate a variety of methods including written/oral activities and demonstration of practical skills to the relevant industry standards. Participants are advised that they are likely to be asked to personally demonstrate their assessment activities to their teacher/assessor. Feedback will be provided throughout the course.
