Printing, scanning and photocopying in the Library

Each Library site has printers connected to the RMIT printing system. You can use them for printing, scanning and photocopying.

How to print?

Send your print jobs to the RMIT printing queue and collect the printouts at any printer by swiping your student card. You can also use our printers to photocopy or scan to USB.

Before you can use the printing service, you will need to activate your account by swiping your student card and entering your RMIT login details.

If you are printing for the first time, go to RMIT printing for detailed instructions, prices and user guides.

How much can I copy?

All photocopying is subject to the provisions of the Copyright Act 1968.

The Copyright Act states that, for the purposes of research or study, it is reasonable to photocopy:

It may be possible to copy more under the ‘fair dealing’ provision for research or study purposes. To find out if this applies to your case, refer to the criteria set out in sub-section 40 (2) of the Copyright Act 1968.

There are student copyright guides available if you need more information.
