RMIT offers a range of scholarships to current and commencing international students across all fields of study. Scholarships include financial support for students from diverse backgrounds, rewards for academic excellence and full scholarships for research students.

  • Australia Awards Scholarship For international bachelor, masters by coursework and PhD students offering various scholarships and awards; worth tuition fees, stipend and more; open date varies by country.
  • Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships For international students, worth up to $263,500; Applications for the 2015 round will be open in April 2015.
  • RMIT Cultural Visions Film Grant For TAFE, degree or honours students making documentaries and short films. Worth up to $3000; applications are closed.

Postgraduate by coursework

  • Australia Awards Scholarship For international bachelor, masters by coursework and PhD students offering various scholarships and awards; worth tuition fees, stipend and more; open date varies by country.
  • Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships For international students, worth up to $263,500; Applications for the 2015 round will be open in April 2015.
  • Irana Turynska Scholarship For local and international female students studying a third year of the Bachelor of Architectural Design or fourth year of the Master of Architecture, worth up to $5000; applications now closed.
  • Malaysia Australia Colombo Plan Commemoration (MACC) For Malaysian students who commence an undergraduate or masters by coursework program in 2015; worth $7,000; Applications now open.
  • Postgraduate scholarships for Indian students If you are an Indian citizen commencing an RMIT postgraduate program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or Biotechnology in 2015; worth $10,000; Applications now open.

  • Foundation Studies Scholarship For international students commencing in RMIT Foundation Studies; worth $4000 towards your tuition; applications close two months prior to study start date.

External scholarships

  • Australia Awards
    International scholarships and fellowships funded by the Australian Government offering the next generation of global leaders an opportunity to undertake study, research and professional development. Information on three programs available under the Australia Awards.
  • Fulbright Postgraduate Scholarships
    For postgraduate study in the USA. Applications close August.
  • Graduate Women Victoria Scholarship Program 
    Offers an annual program of scholarships and bursaries for female students in universities across Victoria enrolled in either a fourth year of a bachelor honours, a graduate diploma or a masters program, or for female Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. Applications close March.
  • International Student of the Year – English Language Training
    This Award will be presented to an international student who has studied a minimum of 20 weeks of an English Language course and has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and contributed to the internationalisation of their institution and the broader Victorian community.
  • International Student of the Year Award – Higher Education
    This Award will be presented to an international student who has studied an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework based program at a Victorian university and demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and contributed to the internationalisation of their institution and the broader Victorian community.
  • International Student of the Year Award – Post Graduate
    This Award will be presented to a an international student who has been pursuing a postgraduate research program either at Masters or PhD level, and has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and has contributed to the internationalisation of their institution and the broader Victorian community.
  • International Student of the Year Award – Vocational Education and Training (VET)
    This Award will be presented to an international student who has undertaken a VET course and has demonstrated outstanding achievement in their studies and contributed to the internationalisation of their institution and the broader Victorian community.
  • Rotary Club of Bundoora Student Sponsorship (PDF 53kb, 1p)
    For higher education students at RMIT Bundoora undertaking research or current studies of community benefit. Applications close March.
