RMIT offers a range of scholarships to current and commencing international students across all fields of study. Scholarships include financial support for students from diverse backgrounds, rewards for academic excellence and full scholarships for research students.

  • Australia Awards Scholarship For international bachelor, masters by coursework and PhD students offering various scholarships and awards; worth tuition fees, stipend and more; open date varies by country.
  • Dean of Students Scholarship For academically achieving associate degree students in their final semester; worth up to $2700; no application required.
  • Gavin Teague Memorial Scholarship For degree students enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) program who can demonstrate artistic merit and a passion for continuing with the arts; worth up to $1300; applications close 18 Novemeber 2016.
  • India Pathways Scholarship (Cornerstone International College) If you are an Indian citizen applying for credit transfer from Cornerstone International College into an RMIT Undergraduate program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or Biotechnology, you could be eligible to apply for this scholarship. Applications now open.
  • India Pathways Scholarship (Manipal University) If you are an Indian citizen applying for a credit transfer from Manipal University into an RMIT Undergraduate program in: Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or Biotechnology, you could be eligible to apply for this scholarship.   • India Pathways Scholarship (Vellore Institute of Technology) If you are an Indian citizen applying for a credit transfer from Vellore Institute of Technology commencing an RMIT Undergraduate program Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or Biotechnology you could be eligible to apply for this scholarship. Applications now open
  • International Cost of Living Scholarships If you are an international student currently living in Australia and you have applied directly to RMIT to commence an undergraduate or postgraduate program in Semester 1 2016, you may be eligible for this scholarship; worth $2,000; Applications now open.
  • International Excellence Scholarship for Latin America If you are an international student from Latin America commencing an RMIT program in 2017; worth $5,000; Applications now open.
  • International Excellence Scholarship for undergraduate Sri Lankan students For Sri Lankan students commencing an undergraduate program at RMIT in Semester 2 2016, this scholarship can provide financial assistance during your first year of study; worth AU$6,000; Applications now closed.
  • International Partnership Scholarship - China The International Partnership Scholarship aims to provide access to an RMIT University degree for students from mainland China; worth $5,000; Applications now open.
  • International Relocation Scholarship 2016 If you are an international student currently studying interstate in Australia or in New Zealand,This scholarship aims to provide support for your move to Melbourne; worth $2000; Applications now closed.
  • Irana Turynska Scholarship For female students in their third year of the Bachelor of Architectural Design or first year of the Master of Architecture in 2017, worth up to $10,000; applications close 18 November 2016.
  • Jacob and Charlotte Kahane Scholarship For students enrolled full-time in the Bachelor of Communication (Journalism) program in 2017; worth up to $7000; applications close 18 November 2016.
  • RMIT Cultural Visions Film Grant For vocational or higher education students making documentaries and short films. Worth up to $3000; applications now closed.
  • School of Art Honours Travelling Grant For fine art students in their Honours year and who can demonstrate outstanding academic achievement; worth up to $3000; applications close 18 November 2016.
  • Science Engineering & Health scholarships for Indian students (undergraduate) For Indian students who commencing an undergraduate degree program at RMIT’s College of Science, Engineering and Health, this scholarship can contribute towards your tuition fees. Applications now open.
  • Sri Lanka Pathway Scholarship (South Asia Institute of Technology and Medicine SAITM) If you are a student from Sri Lanka and have been granted credit transfer for units completed at the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM) into an undergraduate program in IT or Engineering at RMIT in Semester 1, 2017 you may be eligible to apply for this scholarship.   • Sri Lanka Pathway Scholarship (Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology) If you are a student from Sri Lanka and have been granted credit transfer for units completed at the Sri Lankan Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) into an undergraduate program at RMIT in IT or Engineering in Semester 1, 2017 you may be eligible to apply for this scholarship.     International scholarships and fellowships funded by the Australian Government offering the next generation of global leaders an opportunity to undertake study, research and professional development. Information on three programs available under the Australia Awards.
  • Fulbright Postgraduate Scholarships
    For postgraduate study in the USA. Applications close August.
  • Graduate Women Victoria Scholarship Program 
    Offers an annual program of scholarships and bursaries for female students in universities across Victoria enrolled in either a fourth year of a bachelor honours, a graduate diploma or a masters program, or for female Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. Applications close March.
  • International Student of the Year – English Language Training
    This Award will be presented to an international student who has studied a minimum of 20 weeks of an English Language course and has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and contributed to the internationalisation of their institution and the broader Victorian community.
  • International Student of the Year Award – Higher Education
    This Award will be presented to an international student who has studied an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework based program at a Victorian university and demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and contributed to the internationalisation of their institution and the broader Victorian community.
  • International Student of the Year Award – Vocational Education and Training (VET)
    This Award will be presented to an international student who has undertaken a VET course and has demonstrated outstanding achievement in their studies and contributed to the internationalisation of their institution and the broader Victorian community.
