  • Chile Bicentennial Research Scholarship For Chilean research students; worth tuition, travel and study allowance; applications now open.
  • Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships For international students, worth up to $263,500; applications now open.
  • Higher Degree by Research Publications Grant (HDRPG) For research students to financially assist to write publications after thesis/project submission; worth $30,900 annum pro rata.
  • Higher Degree by Research Travel Grant (HDRTG) For research candidates travelling to complete fieldwork, research-related activities, conferences and workshops; funding available up to $2000. Application periods apply.
  • Indigenous Learning Technology Grant For Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander postgraduate students; worth $1000; applications now open.
  • International Tuition Fee Scholarships RMIT has two international tuition fee scholarships that are available. These are the RTP International Fee Offset Scholarship (RIFOS) and the RMIT Research International Tuition Fee Scholarship (RRITFS). Both RIFOS and RRITFS scholarships provide tuition fees for a period of 3 years.
  • PhD Scholarship in Urban Futures Social Inequities For a PhD candidate preferably with a post-graduate degree in public health, epidemiology, or health geography; worth $30,000 per annum; applications close Wednesday 28 February 2018, or when a candidate is selected.
  • Research Stipend Scholarships RMIT has two stipend scholarships available - the RTP Stipend Scholarship (RSS) and the RMIT Research Stipend Scholarship (RRSS). These scholarships provide a stipend of $30,900 per annum pro rata for full-time study, subject to indexation annually, and other allowances and benefits.
  • Vice-Chancellor’s PhD Scholarship (VCPS) For local and international doctoral research candidates; a stipend of $42,384.50 and an additional $5,000 research support allowance of per annum and other allowances and leave provisions.

  • Economic and Social Impacts of Mining The aim of this research project is to identify both the economic and social impacts of mining. Further, this will be achieved at both national and community levels using mixed methods and the latest empirical techniques. The policies that maximise the impacts of mining will be identified.
  • Improving Port’s Efficiency and Global Competitiveness This project represents a program of research, under the Global Logistics and Maritime Studies Group (GLAM), that aims to develop modelling tools and management frameworks to enable ports to enhance operational efficiency, workforce productivity and environmental sustainability through optimal use of their resources to provide cost-effective, safe and high quality services, thereby strengthening their global competitive positions.
  • Tony Naughton Memorial PhD Scholarship in Economics, Finance and Marketing This scholarship is being offered for an outstanding candidate in one of the disciplines offered by the School of Economics, Finance and Marketing in recognition of Professor Tony Naughton, Head of School from 2003 to 2013.
