New Enterprise Investment Fund
The New Enterprise Investment Fund (NEIF) and associated program is designed to support the formation of new business ventures originating from RMIT students.
Unique in Australia, the program is student focused with an emphasis on practical entrepreneurship. In setting up and running their own businesses, participants enter into a real life, real consequences learning environment supported by industry mentors.
The NEIF program has been established by RMIT so that students with business proposals that meet the criteria can apply for funding in the form of an interest-free loan and get their ideas off the ground. Loans are typically up to $25,000 and for a period of one to three years.
We are looking for passionate entrepreneurs, who can show us a plan to build a robust and sustainable business which will bring to market innovative technologies, products or services.
Business mentoring and support is an essential component of the NEIF program. Our mentors are professionals with proven business acumen and experience across entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, accounting and legal services.
RMIT has a wealth of resources available to budding entrepreneurs. In addition to access to our own staff and facilities, RMIT works with a number of trusted business partners to provide you with access to a range of business services and products.
