Vice-Chancellor and President, Mr Martin Bean, delivered the opening address to an audience of 230 staff at the 2015 Learning and Teaching Expo on Wednesday 2 September. Showcasing exemplary practice in learning and teaching across RMIT University, this year’s event focused on “Students at the centre”. It featured more hands-on workshops, interactive installations, facilitated discussions and presentations than previous years, and explored a range of significant educational themes of relevance to all teaching staff across higher education and vocational education.

Feedback on the variety of sessions and mixed-modes of delivery has been generally positive. The main themes covered on the day included Work Integrated Learning, improving graduate futures and careers, learning and teaching for sustainability, learning futures, and unfolding curriculum design patterns for inclusive learning.
