In this course you will gain skills and knowledge required to select and implement virtualisation solutions to meet organisational needs in an information and communications technology (ICT) environment.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to select and implement virtualisation solutions to meet organisational needs in an information and communications technology (ICT) environment.

It applies to individuals who work in the network area of organisations and are responsible for the virtualisation of desktop and server operating systems.

Overview of Assessment

Assessment for this course is ongoing throughout the semester. Your knowledge and understanding of course content is assessed through participation in class exercises and various types of assessments.

Assessment Tasks

Students must pass each of the following assessments to demonstrate competency:

Online Quiz

This is an online assessment, comprises of 10 questions.

Task-2

Practical Assessment

Students must individually complete this assessment under the observation of a qualified assessor, adhere to all academic integrity guidelines, and arrange any special accommodations at least one week prior to the assessment.

Task-3

Project

Assessment Task 3 involves both supervised and unsupervised activities, completed partly outside the classroom (team meetings, exercises, and report writing) and partly in the computer lab (network design, documentation, and report writing) during or outside class hours.
