Course Description
This course will be delivered through blended learning, this means it will be online self paced. You will be required to attend some online classes and meet with your teacher through online appointments throughout the semester. You will be informed of these times by your teacher. By studying this course, you will develop your independent learning skills in preparation for tertiary study. During this course, you will familiarise yourself with the range of further study options available. This course provides you with the skills and knowledge needed to research and prepare applications for tertiary study in keeping with your goals and career choices.

Details of Learning Activities
This course (subject) is part of the Certificate IV in Tertiary Preparation and will teach the skills and knowledge required to develop a study plan and an educational pathway.
You will able to access the modules and work at your own pace, due dates will need to be met, but you will be able to submit assessments earlier if you wish. You will be required to attend some online classes and meet with your teacher through online appointments through out the semester.

- Research a selected field of study
- Examine course requirements for selected field of study
- Investigate responsibilities as a tertiary education student
- Design and implement a study pathway plan
- Present study pathway plan and evaluate progress

Overview of Assessment
By studying this course, you will develop your independent learning skills in preparation for tertiary study. During this course, you will familiarise yourself with the range of further study options available. This course provides you with the skills and knowledge needed to research and prepare applications for tertiary study in keeping with your goals and career choices.
Assessment Tasks
Assessment will take place throughout the course these should be submitted through Canvas and in weeks 9 to 10 you will be required to present a pathway flowchart in an online class. Your work is assessed as competent (CA) or not yet competent (NYC).
You will be given written feedback on all assessment tasks.
Assessment is ongoing and its purpose is to develop your skills. With each assessment you will be given clear guidelines about the elements and performance criteria you will need to meet in order to successfully complete the task.
This is a self paced online unit all due dates are clearly marked, you may submit earlier than the due date.
All assessment must be submitted through Canvas.
