Assessment Tasks
ASSESSMENT 1
This assessment is divided into five (5) questions. You must answer each of the questions below in relation to the case study (AustraDeal) provided in the appendix 1 of this assessment. The questions posed simulate a workplace environment scenario, where managers are required to reflect on existing business processes and procedures and provide recommendations for improvements.
ASSESSMENT 2
This assessment will assess your skills and knowledge in planning the implementation of new digital technology within an organisation and promoting the technology to members of the organisation.
This assessment continues from Assessment Task 1 and the case study of AustraDeal (see Appendix 1). In assessment task you reviewed AustraDeal’s digital communication requirements and developed a Business Case proposing the adoption of three suitable communication technologies. In this assessment task, are required to implement the new digital technologies and promote these within the organisation.
This assessment is divided into two (2) parts, Part A and Part B.
Part A – Deliver Digital Technology Implementation Plan
This part is designed to allow you to plan the implementation and use of relevant digital technology within AustraDeal. The plan you devise, will be presented to the class. For Part A, you will need to submit your PowerPoint slides outlining your presentation, before delivering your presentation in class where your instructor will assess you using the Observation Checklist in the marking guide.
Part B - Deliver Group Training
This part is a role play activity where you will be required to demonstrate the benefits of one particular digital technology as it relates to enhancing communication between members of an organisation. This simulates a workplace environment scenario, where many staff are required to share and update their team members as to progress on a project, and subsequently train them when rolling out the project. You need to work in teams of 3-4 for this part and will take it in turns training the group. For part B, you will need to submit a run sheet outlining the structure of your training session, before delivering your training session in-class to your fellow group members and instructor where your instructor will assess you using the Observation Checklist in the marking guide.
