Full assessment briefs will be provided and can be found on CANVAS

Assessment Tasks

Assessment Task 1: Written Questions

This is an open-book assessment requiring you to answer all questions accurately, using learning materials as a reference. You must provide responses aligned with the instructional words in each question to achieve a satisfactory outcome.

Assessment Task 2a: Determine Stakeholder Engagement Methods

In this task, you will review provided emails and documents and complete a Stakeholder Engagement Form. This involves:

  1. Identifying stakeholders and their power and interest in the project.
  2. Developing engagement strategies tailored to each stakeholder or group.
  3. Submitting the completed form to the Managing Director via email for review.

Assessment Task 2b: Undertake Stakeholder Engagement Planning

Building on the Stakeholder Engagement Form from Task 2a, you will complete a Stakeholder Engagement Assessment Form. This involves:

  1. Determining each stakeholder's current ("B") and desired ("A") engagement level (unaware, resistant, neutral, supportive, leading).
  2. Identifying actions required to achieve or maintain desired engagement.
  3. Submitting the completed form to the Managing Director via email for review.

Assessment Task 3a: Implement Stakeholder Engagement Actions

Using the Stakeholder Engagement Assessment Form from Task 2, you will implement two identified stakeholder engagement actions. This includes:

  1. Undertaking the selected actions (e.g., in-person meetings, documentation).
  2. Sending follow-up emails to stakeholders, copying the Managing Director, and ensuring clear, professional communication.

Assessment Task 3b: Determine Stakeholder Communication Needs

You will complete a Stakeholder Communication Plan, specifying:

  1. Stakeholder groups, their information needs, communication channels, frequency, and responsible persons.
  2. Sending the completed plan to the Managing Director via email for review.

Assessment Task 4a: Clarify Stakeholder Behavioural Expectations

You will identify a task from the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) that has gone over schedule and send an email addressing:

  1. The recipient and subject.
  2. Details of the task variance and your plan to address it.

Assessment Task 4b: Lead Performance Review

You will use the Professional Development Policy and the 360-Degree Feedback Form to:

  1. Develop five performance metrics for team review.
  2. Distribute the feedback form to project team members via email, with clear instructions to return completed forms to the Managing Director.

Assessment Task 4c: Determine Individual Development Needs and Opportunities

You will conduct a meeting with a team member to review their 360 feedback and identify development needs. This involves:

  1. Leading the session, discussing feedback, and negotiating a development plan.
  2. Completing the FM015 Professional Development Plan.
  3. Documenting your self-evaluation in the FM006 Continuous Improvement Register, reflecting on your own role in managing stakeholder engagement and identifying areas for improvement.

Resubmissions (VET Programs)

If you are found to be unsuccessful (Not Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory) in a Course Assessment Task, you will be allowed one resubmission. Your teacher will provide feedback regarding what you need to improve and set a new deadline for the resubmission.
