Course Description

This course is the capstone course of the finance major. It focuses on the application and consolidation of financial theory and capital market practices in practical case studies. A comprehensive and integrated overview of the finance systems, capital markets and participants, transactions and all other stakeholders in the economy will be examined. Selected case studies cover diverse areas in finance including funds management, derivatives, financial institutions, capital markets, corporate finance, behavioural finance and other topical issue in finance.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:

CLO1: Demonstrate the ability to solve real-life problems in financial markets.

CLO2: Critically evaluate the role of participants in capital markets.

CLO3: Synthesise and analyse business issues in the finance industry and provide solutions.

CLO4: Communicate findings of finance case studies to stakeholders, policy makers, industry practitioners and community professionally and effectively.
