Course Description
This course is designed to introduce you to web site development and management.
Emphasis is placed on a hands - on approach whilst at the same time exploring the alternative approaches available.
Objectives/Learning Outcomes/Capability Development
On completion of this course it is expected that you will successfully achieve the following capabilities:
- Gain an increased understanding of the basics of creating a web site.
- Understand the issues related to publishing a site on the WWW.
On completion of this course you will be able to:
- Manage and administer a web site once it has been deployed.
- Optimise your website for search engines
- Manage the assets that are part of your website
- Ability to evaluate web sites for effectiveness
