Course Description

This course covers an understanding and responding to instructions, carrying out routine tasks and communicating with a range of internal/external clients in a Medical Office, health care environment, using appropriate basic medical terminology

Pre-requisite Courses and Assumed Knowledge and Capabilities

This unit can be assessed independently, but may be concurrently assessed with:
• HLTAP301A Recognise healthy body systems in a health care environment

Overview of Assessment

There will be assessments conducted at the end of the 3 week block. Work placement assessments will take place according to timetable structure. On the completion of the traineeship the logbook with all required assessments

• Test paper
• Logbook
• Research assignment and presentation
