Course Description
This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge to care support clients in a range of health care and community settings
Clients may include those who are aged, disabled or accessing other health services
Pre-requisite Courses and Assumed Knowledge and Capabilities
This unit can be assessed independently, but where care assistance tasks involves workplace relationships this unit may be concurrently assessed with:

Learning Outcomes
Overview of Assessment
Assessment tools and materials required:
- Workplace observation record of duties
- Logbook for workplace observation by supervisor (third party testimony)
There will be assessments conducted at the end of the 3 week induction block. Work placement assessments will take place according to timetable structure. On the completion of the traineeship the logbook with all required assessments for the package will be completed.
