Course Description

This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a range of non-client contact support to a nursing team delivering nursing care in an acute care environment

Learning Outcomes

Will be able to demonstrate support to the nursing care team  provided under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse and according to the particular guidelines, policies and
procedures of the acute care setting.


Overview of Assessment

There will be assessments conducted at the end of the 3 week block. Work placement assessments will take place according to timetable structure. On the completion of the traineeship the logbook with all required assessments for the package will be completed.
