Course Description
The purpose of this learning unit is to develop knowledge and skills in the function, terminology and organisational relationship of production planning and control within a manufacturing environment.
This learning unit also facilitates articulation to Aerospace and Engineering degree courses.

Learning Outcomes
1.Compile flow process, machine loading, project control charting. Develop bills of material and plan a project using network analysis.
2.Explain the various types of production, the impact of marketing forecast and the strategic importance of selecting the most cost-effictive approach in terms of world competitive manufacturing selected from the product/process matrix.
Overview of Assessment
To successfully complete this course the student is required to pass written assessment tasks and demonstrate skills and ability by completing pratical tasks to aerospace standard.
