AND  Year Two of the Program
 

Students with previous study who are applying for exemptions should seek the advice of the Program Manager (see above) before enrolling. The Program Manager will advise which courses you should enrol in and which will be exempted from the program.

Please note: exemptions are not guaranteed and are given at the discretion of the Program Manager.

 

1. To graduate, you must complete a total of 192 credit points as mapped out below.
2. To be eligible to enrol in a course, you must satisfy its stated Prerequisites/Corequisites.
3. To check Prerequisites/Corequisites for a course, click on Yes in the Prereqs/Coreqs column.
4. To view Course Description, click on the course title in the Course Title column.
5. Graduates of an RMIT Bachelor of Engineering degree are not permitted to enrol in courses with the same title as those they have already passed as part of their undergraduate program. Credit may not be granted for courses completed in an undergraduate program.

Important note: some courses in this program may require attendance at the Bundoora campus (eg elective course EEET2336 Protection and High Voltage Engineering). If in doubt, please confirm with the Course Coordinator for the course you are interested in completing.

Year Two of the Program

Please note: Students should choose courses from eitherOption A (Professional Engineering Advanced Project and Professional Experience Postgraduate + 5 courses from the Option A list of electives) or Option B (Research Project and Professional Experience Postgraduate + 3 courses from the Option B list of electives).

 

Professional Experience - prior to 2015, Professional Experience was assessed as part of the course Professional Engineering Advanced Project Part A (EEET2349). In 2015 EEET2471 Professional Experience Postgraduate was added to the MC180 structure as a stand-alone course.

From 2015, all students who have not yet completed their Professional Experience are required to enrol in EEET2471 to complete this component.
