Program Learning Outcomes Statement
The program is designed for students who wish to become professionals in the field of Geospatial Science. The structure and content of the program were developed with advice from an industry-based program advisory committee.
Upon completion of Bachelor of Science (Geospatial Science) (Honours), you will have achieved the following Program Learning Outcomes:
PLO1. Apply advanced and coherent knowledge of theories, principles, concepts, technologies, and specialist practices in the geospatial science.
PLO2. Critically analyse and evaluate geospatial data from different sources, standards, and governance for supporting a range of applications, using methods, tools, and technologies in the geospatial discipline.
PLO3. Apply research principles and methodology to design and implement industrial and research projects to address complex real-world problems, and make original contribution to current body of knowledge
PLO4. Critically review and synthesise principles of geospatial science summarising current and emerging professional trends to inform evidence-based decision making and generate geospatial intelligence.
PLO5. Critically evaluate and communicate geospatial scientific and research findings to diverse audiences utilising contemporary and traditional formats employing integrity and culturally safe practices.
PLO6. Work independently, with agility, safety, and accountability for own learning and professional future.
PLO7. Collaborate and contribute within diverse, multi-disciplinary teams, with commitment to diversity,equity and globally inclusive perspectives and practices including First Nations knowledges and input.
