Successful completion of this program requires you to demonstrate that you are competent in 8 units of competency.

The program structure is as follows:

Cluster 1 Developing and applying a gender lens

VU22770 Develop a gender lens to support gender equity work, is a prerequisite unit for all otrher units

VU22771 Apply a gender lens to own work role

Cluster 2 Promoting gender equity within a work context

VU22772 Communicate effectively to gender equity stakeholders 

VU22773 Establish support for gender equity work 

VU22774 Explore gender equity policy and practice in the workplace 

Cluster 3 Undertaking gender equity work

VU22775 Undertake a gender assessment within a work context 

VU22776 Develop gender equity strategies 

VU22777 Implement and monitor gender equity strategies 

The content and assessment tasks align with the requirements of the Australian Government's Gender Equality Act 2000.

Assessment is ongoing throughout the program. This is a blended program that includes self paced online learning, formal online facilitation and fortnightly face to face workshops.

If you have already developed competency through prior experience, (for example, through prior studies or work experience), you can apply for credit once you have enrolled in this program. There is information on the RMIT website about how to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) http://www.rmit.edu.au/students/enrolment/credit/

If you have a long term medical condition and/or disability it may be possible to negotiate to vary aspects of the learning or assessment methods. You can contact the program coordinator or the Equitable Learning Service (ELS) if you would like to find out more.

Work integrated learning
