Approach to learning and assessment

Classes are interactive and give you many opportunities to discuss the theory and practice new skills. You will participate in classes where the teacher will demonstrate the required skills and where you will have the opportunnity to practice the assessment tasks in our simulated work envoronment under supervision.  Assessment methods include exams, assignments, projects and practical activites.

You will be required to compelte some online learning activites for each course. Learner directed study activities include research, reading,  and/or theoretical practice tests or assessments.

You will also participate in face to face learning e.g. tutorials, lectures, and practical classes.

Theory assessment are generally conpleted online in Canvas, the Learning Managment System.

Practical assessments are conducted in the simulated wpork environment under the supervision of the teacher. You will be required to perform a number of activites and assessed against a criteria that you wil be provided. 

You need to achive a satisfactory result in the theory and practical assessment to pass each course.
