Approach to learning and assessment

This program uses the student-centered teaching and learning principles aiming to develop your intellectual capability and professional skills that are valuable at the contemporary workplace. The program will stimulate your learning through a range of teaching and learning approaches, including lectures, seminars, tutorials, team-learning, case studies, industrial speakers and independent investigations. Courses are designed in a blended-learning mode that combines online and face-to-face elements. You will gain the foundational and cutting-edge knowledge in the discipline of HRM and HR analytics.

The courses adapt the authentic assessment principle, which assesses your learning through assessments that are directly relevant to industry practices, including real-world problem analysis, business case analysis, online discussions, presentations, report writing, group work, and independent investigation. You will be expected to demonstrate scholarly and professional skills, including written and oral communication, critical analysis, time management, leadership, and collaborating with others.

For more information on assessment, refer to the RMIT Assessment and Assessment Flexibility policy.

Please note that if you have a long-term medical condition, disability and/or other form of disadvantage we can support you by making adjustments to activities in your program so that you can participate fully in your studies.
