Course Description
This course has two parts:
Part 1: Video Equipment
This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary to set-up, operate, disassemble and pack up professional level video production equipment.
You will gain the following skills/abilities on satisfactory completion of this course:
1. Ability to set-up, operate and disassemble professional level video production equipment.
2. Ability to distinguish between different technical standards of equipment
3. Ability to understand the theory of operation of professional level video production equipment.
Part 2: Presentation Equipment
This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary to operate professional level presentation and projection equipment.
You will gain the following skills/abilities on satisfactory completion of this course:
1. Ability to operate and disassemble professional level presentation and projection equipment
2. Ability to distinguish between different technical standards of equipment
3Ability to understand the theory and operation of professional level screens, monitors and projection equipment..

Overview of Assessment
Part 1: Video Equipment :-
Open book practical test - 70%
Open book theory test - 30%
Part 2: Presentation Equipment :-
1. Answer oral questions and participate in practical tasks at various stages to demonstrate understanding of underpinning knowledge.
20% During teacher guided hours
2. Practical task B
In groups you will be required to set-up, operate or dismantle an AV presentation system.
50% TAFE WEEK 16
3. Theory Test
Answer range of multiple-choice, short and long answer questions related to class notes and discussions.
30% TAFE WEEK 17
Total 100%*
