This unit typically applies to assessors participating in assessment validation. It does not address leading the validation process.

Learning Outcomes
The learning outcomes for this course will enable the learner to:
• actively participate validation sessions or meetings which address the critical aspects of validation using different validation approaches and activities
• clearly explain purposes of validation and the legal and ethical responsibilities of assessors
• collate documentation relating to validation process
• be able to demonstrate communication and liaison with relevant people
• provide feedback and interpret documentation in validation sessions
• record contribution to validation findings.
Overview of Assessment
Assessment for this course is made up of formative in class activities, holistic assessment with other Assessment units in the form of 3 projects - one (1) in which where students plan and conduct an assessment (1) evidence gathering activity - completed in class, one (1) project where students plan and conduct two assessment in the workplace and one (1) project where students participate in two (2) assessment validations, one (1) during training and one (1) in a workplace context.
