Course Description

This module will provide the learner with the procedures and skills to take-off the nett quantities used in commercial buildings up to an effective height of 25m and industrial buildings.

Learning Outcomes

This course will provide the learner to develop knowledge & skills and be able to:
• Describe the roles of the Quantity Surveyor and the Builders Surveyor. Describe formats for various Bills of Quantities.
• Description and measurement in the billing’s quantity
• Take-off quantities for bulk and detailed excavation.
• Take-off quantities for concrete, reinforcement and formwork.
• Take-off quantities for masonry and stone work.
• Take-off quantities for structural steelwork and metalwork.
• Take-off quantities for fitting out.
• Take-off quantities for finishing trades.
• Take-off quantities for building services
