Course Description
This course covers the skills and knowledge required to explore and apply the design process in a 3-dimensional (3D) way in response to a brief. This is a core unit in design fundamentals.

Overview of Assessment
Students will present a folio of design concepts and two major of projects:
Organic inspired furnishing project - A developmental folio focussing on exploration of the organic form as a source of inspiration.
Self directed major furniture project – Students apply the methodology and processes studied during the course to develop and present a design concept.
