Preparation for practical placement

Strategies for locating suitable placement
Strategies for locating post-program employment

Teaching Schedule
70 hours (two week) of approved industry placement must be completed by each student to demonstrate competence of this course. (Does not apply to International students who will complete alternative assessment activities as discussed with the teacher.)
All students must attend the first class for this course. During this class you will be allocated a focus group for subsequent classes.
The focus groups will meet once every 3-4 weeks or as needed. A schedule for these classes will be located on the AV Noticeboard.
International students must attend all scheduled classes and Focus Group classes.

To ensure Workcover compliance, the signed Practical Placement Agreement Form must be returned to the teacher before you commence your placement.
If you commence your placement without prior completion of this form and you are injured whilst at placement, you will NOT be covered by Workcover insurance and you may be personally liable for EXPENSIVE AND ONGOING medical and/or legal expenses.
This could amount to many thousands of dollars of ongoing expense.
